Our testing team runs the same sequence for every featured product.
1. Catalog snapshot. Priya Raman records the product page details, size range, listed fabric, price and available colorways on the day the order is placed, so a later change is visible.
2. Order and timing. We order at the listed retail price and log confirmation, dispatch and arrival dates. Delivery timing and packaging condition are noted as part of the record.
3. Unboxing and flat measurements. Each garment is measured flat — chest, waist, hip, inseam, sleeve and total length — and compared with the size chart the collection publishes.
4. Fit panel. At least three editors of different heights and builds wear the piece. We record shoulder placement, how the waist sits when seated, sleeve and hem length on body, and whether the size chart held.
5. Wear window. Two weeks of ordinary use, including at least one wash cycle where the care label allows it. We note pilling, seam movement, shrinkage and color bleed.
6. Outfit comparison. Each piece is combined with other tested items only, and photographed on the same three people so proportions are comparable.
7. Scoring. Editors score cut and fit, construction, fabric behavior, value and comparison strength on the five-point scale, where 5 is excellent and 1 is very poor. Hands-on scores land between 4.0 / 5 and 5.0 / 5.
