Joyagoo Collection Journal is an editorial desk in Portland, Oregon, founded in 2019 by Nora Vance after a decade of buying and merchandising apparel collections. We cover collection-led product research and outfit comparisons: how a piece is actually cut, how it fits three different bodies, how it wears for two weeks, and how it combines with the rest of a collection rather than sitting alone in a catalog photo.
The team is three editors. Nora Vance runs the desk and signs off on scores. Desmond Okafor leads reviews and the fit panel, checking seams, drape and wash behavior. Priya Raman runs research, maintaining the catalog spreadsheets and price history that every comparison is built on.
We order the products we feature at the listed retail price and wear them ourselves. Testing notes stay short on purpose: what arrived, what it measured, how it wore, and what a reader should check before buying. Comparisons are assembled from the same measured data, so an outfit recommendation can always be traced back to a garment that passed through the office.
